On Thursday 7th July 2016 the prestigious Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) Premier Trophy Awards took place with a colourful selection of work all primed to take the top prizes.
Brewers Decorating Centres are proud to be involved in a stunning renovation project which received a ‘Very Highly Commended’ accolade at the glittering awards.
Working in partnership with F & K Smyth based in Northern Ireland the extensive project worked on a Georgian style detached residence, originally bought by the present owner in a neglected state.
Farrow and Ball were used throughout due to their palette reflecting the prestige and period of the property, allowing the redecoration to be in keeping with modern demands but keep the traditional splendour of the house.
The interior had to be stripped out due to dry and wet rot before decorating could commence.

The fine plaster coving running throughout was picked out by highlighting in white.
The work required full restoration of many window frames and a multitude of wall finishes including wallpaper to some areas.
An extremely high standard was demanded by the architect and home owner which was delivered with flying colours and has been described as “a credit to the profession”.
